If it wasn't for the cool air...

( Quote by R.A. Robinson )

Precious Lamb

This is a damn shame - no offense to the photographer.
Children smoking is sad and disgusting.

( Cigarette Girl )

A writer for I love Belgium woth knowledge of Janssen's work writes;

The children, aged four to nine, are shameless posing while enjoying their cigarette or cigarillo. So why kids? By portraying adults as children all the attention went to the smoking. An adult would draw to much attention to the portrayed person. Thus these portraits evoke question such as: is the smoking ban the right way to get rid of an absurd addiction and are smokers treated like little kids who can’t make the difference between good and bad?"

... I don't care what anyone says about this series, the photography is great.

Trafalgar

This is one of the most spectacular examples of evolution in media technology and fashion show production!
The use of CG set transitions to depict the timelessness of the Dunhill brand while introducing their next season's garments was impeccably executed. It felt like Fantasia live in fashion.

Simply beautiful.

FACEBOOK - Ya Done Me Wrong!

I just want to start by saying that I love most things about social networking. The instant connection to friends, the ability to share images/videos/thoughts almost instantly with people across the globe is mind blowing to most (not so much for me but there are people).
Like most social media outlets and websites, facebook has changed its apearance manny times, and you do usually have a choice whether or not you want to adopt this new look. Sometimes there are individuals that aren't too fond of the way "they" (the facebook ppl) alter the look.

Almost 15 minutes ago Facebook surprised me with some straight up F**kery. To be honest, I don't like the latest look. The new face of "the book" seems a little messy to me - that organized chaos. I don't like it, and I knew, when it was introduced, that I would not be able to change it once I accepted it. I was not aware that after a period of time I would be forced to assimilate and adopt this new look.

Now I sit here in front of my computer, with Miss Minaj spitting her whit in the background, a little frustrated and vexed. I am faced with a delima, Do I make a fuss and disgard Facebook forever or do I suck it up and change. Going with the flow in order to stay "connected" - upsetting.

RUDE!

This is where I am left:

I will let the great and talented Fiona Apple comfort me.

... and then pop my booty to get this tomfoolery off my mind... until I go back on Facebook.... still RUDE!

This entry is kind of indirectly related to the Tartine Bakery, but what the hey.
I was working at my Starbucks 2 days ago and I had the pleasure of briefly meeting a customer by the name of Roberta [now a new facebook friend]. Seeing that our Holiday menue was up, I [bubbly as always] started introducing her and her friend to our selection! After they had ordered their drinks, I slipped in the possibility of a holiday pastry.
She gave me a smile and responded, "I can't eat anything with gluten in it!" I was a little disappointed that she could not enjoy one of our lovely holiday pastries, but her friend jumped in and mentioned that she bakes gluten-free stuff all the time and it was TO-DIE-FOR!!! She bakes all the time because most of her family is celiac (I think that's what it was).
p.s. I get excited over everything that is different because I find certain things like this fascinating. Our differences are what make us stand out as individuals - they make the world interesting!
ANYWHOO, I had told her that one of my best friends [Erica Henry] is also celiac and has to watch what she eats as well. I wanted to know if Roberta had a blog or Twitter or website with her baking on it and she responded, "No... People tell me I should start one but I never get around to it!"*
BUT she followed a blog called Eat the Love - Sweets for the Mouth and Mind! Such a "Savory" title, you have to check it out.
*To her no-blog response and obvi in the words of James, "WHAT??? WHY NOOOTTT??? You need to start your own blog. Better yet you need to write a book. OMG, I saw this video on Vimeo.com where this guy started baking because he loved it sooo much. He opened his own bread place and, because of his passion, he drew sooo manny people to love the process of bread making!" = )
Even though I felt like I had scared this lovely woman, I had to share the vido with her...
AND now I am sharing it on my blog! BLESS and be blessed!

My Gift to My Brother - Last Year

Last summer I has such a great time making different songs, mostly for my own enjoyment but in hopes that some people would listen to my random songs and maybe even like them. This was one of the songs that a few people that i know liked because of the seemingly vulgar undertone of the lyrics, including my biggest fan [my mother]. I was surprised that they had liked this song in particular [and not my other more serious ones = S].
Anywhoo, here you go and I know you will get a kick out of it!

Quickly, I made this song for my brothers birthday because he loves gum and he is a dancer... I thought it was a good fit!
