A friend of mine is doing music work and I love her process, or one of the processes she uses (not going to share).
I believe that in order to develop something great, something goo,d or even something well shitty you have to research. I totally believe that experiencing different sounds and allowing yourself to become a sponge to different styles of music will absolutely help shape the sound you are striving for or the sound that you just happen to stumble upon.
